Randy Lewis, a California digital artist, creates combinations that fascinatedly make a lot of sense. He uses Photoshop to combine images of unexpected objects, producing surreal digital art that tricks both the eye and the mind. With a sense of humor and a playful imagination, his colorful creations are weirdly unique. For example, a “jellyfish” where goldfish apparently swim inside molded gelatine and a “butterfly” whose wings are made of butter.

Randy takes two ordinary things and makes them one image, resulting in an extraordinary object. He tries to mess with people’s mind by changing things that are alike, such as toothpaste and snail, sheep and cauliflower, lollipop and snake.

In one case, the digital artists managed to make a surreal digital art into a physical reality. Titled as Watermelon, the image shows two fish inside a water-filled melon. The image was made by combining two sheets of transparent glass with a watermelon rind.

For people who love Lewis’ work, they can wear the images on clothes thanks to his This or That clothing line. For a daily dose of the artist’s mind-boggling imagery, follow him on Instagram.
